Little spidey here was tasked with finding his way through a diabolical maze - something he breezed through with a small hand from his grandpa. I'm getting in to the habit of taking shots of random things that make me smile, and kids playing seems to be one of those; they've definitely got life worked out, and I'm not sure when it stopped being this simple.

With great power...
Cornish pastimes

My next expedition was a camping trip down to the south-western tip of Britain, to Cornwall. I don't know what it is about Cornwall, perhaps placenames like "Land's End" and the links to Arthurian legend (Tintagel is where Arthur was allegedly brought into the world - whether this was the real one or a mythical one I won't speculate), or the beautiful broken coastline and exposed countryside; but Cornwall seems to hold a charm which is hard to put your finger on.
On the drive down there, performed entirely by my number one partner in international crime, Lara, we stopped to take in the sights and stories of Bath and Wells, gorgeous towns in Somerset. Both I have been to before, but both have plenty of reasons to go back. Feeling a little more cashed up than the last time I passed through, as an impoverished student, I splashed out on the tour of the Roman baths. It was here I grabbed a shot of the fellow above, who's incredible gaze once adorned the entrance to one of the sacred baths. The amount of information available during the walk around tour is fantastic - and the recent addition of Bill Bryson's comments adds an interesting perspective to one of the best-preserved and -presented ancient sites I've visited.
I managed to run out of batteries during this trip, so I'm a little short on shots of the Cornish countryside - but I've included a shot of Launceston castle below; I need a regular fix of things like this, and got a good hit here...
